WAAR-DUHOK:

Former president of the Kurdistan Region has reaffirmed full support from the region to help Iraq in forming the future government of Baghdad if the principles of partnership, consensus and power balance are ensured.

Barzani made the remarks during a meeting with the Japanese Ambassador to Iraq Fumio Iwai who was received by the Kurdish leader on Thursday where the Japanese envoy expressed his concerns over the post-election political process in Iraq.

Iwai, whose duty has ended in Iraq and was in Erbil for a farewell meeting, thanked Barzani and the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) for their coordination during his work in Iraq, hoping that ties between Kurdistan Region and his country will stay strong.
