Arsenal News: Denis Suarez Hints at Turning Emirates Loan Into Permanent Stay

Barcelona loanee Denis Suarez appears to be hinting at a permanent deal at the Emirates with his recent statements regarding his desire to become an important player in the Gunners squad.

Suarez completed his loan move to the North London club towards the end of January and will continue to play in an Arsenal shirt for the remainder of the season.

The 25-year-old previously spent two seasons with defending champions Manchester City and later moved to Barcelona, where he has struggled to break into the first team. This season, the midfielder only made eight appearances for the Catalan giants.

The Galicia native had just extended his contract with the Spanish champions before making the move to the Emirates. Arsenal, of course, have the option of making the deal permanent in the summer although it is not compulsory.

Suarez appears to have hinted that he wants a permanent stay in a recent interview with Arsenal’s official YouTube channel.

The midfielder said, “My aim is to be a success here, perform well and feel important. I’d like to become an important player at the club.”

“I joined Arsenal to get a lot of playing time, to be an important player and feel important. I’m determined to perform well and be a success at this great club.”

The 25-year-old was full of praise for Unai Emery, whom he had worked under at Sevilla, saying, “I think Unai made me a football player, when I joined Sevilla I was a prospect.”

“I was coming off the back of a great season in the second division with Barca B. But it was a big step up to the elite level. he really helped me.”
