YPG: Turkey interfering in Syria’s internal affairs by entering Jarablus

Waar, Duhok:

Turkey’s advance on Jarablus is a direct interference in Syria’s internal affairs, the spokesman of the YPG Redur Xelil told Reuters warning that Turkey was entering a “quagmire” after it deployed tanks and troops to the border town on Wednesday.

Turkish forces and Turkey-backed Syrian rebels have crossed the border to take the town of Jarablus from Islamic State militants in an operation described by Ankara as aimed at securing its frontier against both the jihadist group and Kurdish fighters.

Redur Xelil said the intervention was a “blatant aggression in Syrian internal affairs” and accused Turkey of working in agreement with the Syrian regime.

Meanwhile, Saleh Muslim, head of the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD), tweeted that “Turkey is in Syrian quagmire”.
