The U.S. Commerce Department intends to give the Chines Huawei Company another 90 days to buy supplies from U.S. companies.
“Temporary general license” will be extended for Huawei for 90 days,” according to two sources from United States Department of the Treasury.
The same sources added that the extension will renew an agreement on August 19.
The U.S. government blacklisted Huawei alleging the Chinese company is involved in activities contrary to national security or foreign policy interests.
Huawei Technologies Company, is a Chinese multinational technology company that provides telecommunications equipment and sells consumer electronics, including smartphones and is headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong province. The company was founded in 1987 by Ren Zhengfei.
