PUK Media: Politburo to expel members who working with other electoral politic blocs

WAAR-DUHOK:

The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) has recently expelled several members from its ranks after accusing them of working for other political factions ahead of Iraqi parliamentary elections.

According to documents published by PUK media outlets, party’s leadership ordered the dismissal of five members working at PUK branch offices.

The decision comes after the party expelled eight other members for allegedly joining a new political faction led by Barham Salih, a senior official of the PUK who recently founded the Coalition for Democracy and Justice.

On April 1st, PUK politburo decided to sack any official if found working in favour of Salih’s new party.
