People of Kurdistan votes in historic Referendum

WAAR-DUHOK:

The Kurdistan Region’s independence referendum started on Monday, September 25, as was planned.

The vote proceeded despite the threats and strong opposition from Iraq, regional and world powers.

Polling stations opened on Monday at 8:00 am local time. Around five million people across Kurdistan Region will vote, including those in Kurdish territories outside the official boundaries of the Kurdistan Region.
