At least 23 people were killed and dozens more injured Thursday when a fire broke out inside an animation studio in Kyoto, Japan.
“Twenty-three people were killed in the fire, while dozens were wounded, some of them critically,” said Satoshi Fujiwara, a civil defense official.
Fujiwara also noted the lack of communication with about 18 people, pointing out that the information is still uncertain about whether they are on their work today inside the building or not.
The Japanese authorities have not yet announced the actual causes of the fire at 7:00 GMT.
But the agency pointed out that suspicions about the parking of someone behind the incident, and that is currently among the injured.
